Scott Allan

That is one of the best posts you've ever written. Very thought provoking. I'm actually a lot more nervous now than before I read it. Specter has heartburn from all that corn.

Julie

Thank you, Scott. The whole think makes me sick. From what I understand Specter is running again, maybe Pennsylvanians, who according to Specter himself are against this bill, will finally get rid of him.

Scott Allan

It would take a lot of nerve for Specter to run again. He won't be forgiven.

Julie

I hope you're right - about not being forgiven. I just wish he would GO AWAY.

Oh, give me Land, lots of Land
Under starry Skies above,
Don't Fence Me In.

Let me ride through the wide
Open Country that I love,
Don't Fence Me In.

Let me be by myself
In the Evening Breeze
Listen to the Murmur
Of the Cottonwood Trees

Send me off forever
But I ask you please,
Don't Fence Me In
Just turn me loose,
Let me straddle my old Saddle
Underneath the western Skies

On my Cayuse,
Let me wander over yonder
Till I see the Mountains rise.

I want to ride to the Ridge
Where the West commences
And gaze at the Moon
Until I lose my Senses

Can't look at Hobbles
And I can't stand Fences
Don't Fence Me In.

Just turn me loose,
Let me straddle my old Saddle
Underneath the western Skies

On my Cayuse,
Let me wander over yonder
Till I see the Mountains rise.

I want to ride to the Ridge
Where the West commences
And gaze at the Moon
Until I lose my Senses

Can't look at Hobbles
And I can't stand Fences
Don't Fence Me In.

Don

Sorry for the double posting. I didn't think it posted the first time. Just delete one of them.

Julie

Very nice! Thanks for the memories. :)

The Federalist Papers

  • Degree of Madness
"...... ambitious encroachments of the federal government, on the authority of the State governments, would not excite the opposition of a single State, or of a few States only. They would be signals of general alarm.....But what DEGREE OF MADNESS could ever drive the federal government to such an extremity." Federalist #46 James Madison
