Hillarycare, she's baaack.....

"The Clinton Blueprint".   Those (chilling) words were at the top of the cover of a "little" (284 pages) book I bought in 1994.  The book's actual title is "The President's Health Security Plan".  In it is Hillary's grandiose plan to reform health care.  And it's false advertising.  The more accurate title is "The President's Wife's Health Insecurity Plan".

284 pages doesn't seem like such a large book but considering it's our health care in there, it's a monster.  Not to worry.  On page 9 of my edition Hillary explains how her "little" plan will REDUCE bureaucracy:

The American Health Security Act (sic) reduces the burden of paperwork and administration, regulatory, billing and reporting requirements decline, and consumers experience a streamlined and simpler system...... (just like the IRS, no doubt---ed)

Included in this streamlining:

A single, comprehensive (284 page---ed) benefit package that covers every eligible person eliminates confusion about coverage.  (Read the book.  If you're not confused, you did not read it.)

And get this:

Health care services covered by workers' compensation and automobile insurance merge into the new health system, reducing duplication and waste.

I don't know if anyone reading this has ever dealt with workers' compensation, but there is much more to it than just paying the medical bills.  Trust me, you do not want Hillary running workers' comp.  And if Hillary gets her grimy hands on our automobile insurance, what a nightmare that will be.

There is so much added bureaucracy in this plan.  Here's an example related to the above mentioned workers' comp. and automobile insurance:

A Commission on Health Benefit and Integration is created to study the feasibility and appropriateness of transferring the financial responsibility for all medical benefits (including those now covered under workers' compensation and automobile insurance) to the new health system.  (page 100)

Here's another:

The American Health Security Act creates an independent National Health Board  (page 44-51).

There will be a new long-term care program (page 170).

Hillarycare will also create a new health workforce (page 139-150):

Ensuring quality health care and access for all Americans requires adjustments to the focus of investments in health care training and education.................
[...]
Legislative authority establishes a new system to manage the supply of specialty training for physicians, encompassing several initiatives:

Managing the number of post-graduate training positions for physicians.  After a five-year phase-in period, at least 50 percent of new physicians are trained in primary care rather than in the specific specialty fields in which an excess supply currently exists......

To achieve the goal of bringing primary care and specialty training into balance, the number of filled primary care residency positions increases by approximately 7 percent each year over the five-year period.  During the same period, the number of filled specialty training positions in specialties in which excess supply exists decline by approximately 10 percent each year.

Folks, it just gets worse.  I realize this is the failed plan, but this is what Hillary has in mind.  From today's Washington Post:

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton vowed Monday to create a universal health care system if elected, saying she "learned a lot" during the failed health care effort of her husband's presidency.

"We're going to have universal health care when I'm president _ there's no doubt about that. We're going to get it done," the New York senator and front-runner for the 2008 nomination said.

Michelle Malkin:

No dear, you've learned nothing.

Check out the video at Michelle's site.  This is what we have in store if Hillary becomes president.

There are too many naive Americans who believe this would be the greatest thing since sliced bread.  These are the same Americans who have never filled out a tax return longer than two pages.

Mrs. Bill Clinton HAS learned a lot. Let's see, she has learned that SOME part of the American public still care about her husband. She has learned that a half brown man with a Muslim name and background is going to drain her war chest if she doesn't promise BIG GOODIES. And oh yes, she has learned that we still don't want to see her cankles, THANK GAWD.

I am praying for Obama to win because I THINKTHINKTHINKHOPEHOPEHOPE he will be just too unpalatable with the curtain closes and its time for America to pull the lever.Because if SHE gets it, we are living in Canada. Hell, I think I'll move up there for the difference---weathers better.

Don't you just love the sound of Hillary's war chest "draining"? It's a long time until the primaries, is it too much to HOPE Hillary and Obama both run out of money?? This is going to be fun to watch. The pantsuit vs. the empty suit.
