My Heroes: The United States Military

The first I heard about John Kerry's statements about our military was today just before noon. I had not been on line since early this morning and I thought I would write a few posts during lunchWhen I came across Michele Malkin's post I could not believe what I was reading.

This morning before I left for work I got an email from my "adopted" soldier in Afghanistan
(Soldiers' Angels, a wonderful organization).  He is my second soldier, the first was in Iraq and when he came home I requested anotherIn his email he told me they were having their mail shut off around November 20th. He's coming home.   He also thanked me for all I had done for him and said the kindness I had shown to him and the guys helped them get through all of the tough timesI cried when I read those words and I'm crying now. He never sent one email that he did not thank me and tell me how much he appreciated what I was doing for himAnd when I think about what he is doing for me and my family, the sacrifices he and his family are making to keep me free, I know I can never do enoughI know he doesn't think of it  that way, but I still wish I could do more.  He and all of the men and women he is serving with are my heroesI am honored that I got the chance to get to know him.

And then I read the words of Senator John KerryI have something to say to Mr. Kerry. Let me make myself crystal clear, as crystal clear as I know how. You are a despicable AmericanYour are a despicable excuse for a United States Senator.  And I for one don't care if you apologize or notAn apology would mean nothing coming from you

God Bless our Troops and our PresidentAs for John Kerry, consider the source and let it ride.
